Description

AACCES’ T.E.C.C. course is a tailor-made and realistic program which introduces trainees to pre-hospital emergency care in tactical situations (shooting, post IED attack or post bombing). AACCES trainings are unique and built on the strong local and regional implementation of our training center in the Sahelian landscape, particularly in Niger. With a team composed of both local and international personnel, as well as vast providers, partners and local expert networks, AACCES has the capacity to offer trainings that involve a wide range of actors, fields and simulation exercises.This program aims to significantly diminish the number of preventable deaths among victims suffering from serious or even war-related injuries (amputations, bullet wounds, etc.). Trainees will then be taught, in theory and in practice, how to use techniques and equipment, essential for managing casualties in high-risk situations and complex areas. All skills acquired will be tested through realistic and elaborated scenarios.

The aim of T.E.C.C. training is to enable trainees to:
– Use an IFAK kit (Individual First Aid Kit) and its content;
– Acknowledge the different steps and protocols of intervention on one or more victims (triage);
– Control haemorrhages, clear airways and manage chest wounds;
– Identify and handle the consequences of haemorrhagic shocks;
– Administer early hypothermia prevention techniques correctly;
– Develop strategies for taking care of victims in poor conditions;
– Practice techniques for removing victims and leading them to safe areas;
– Hand wounded people to medical teams in a clear and structured way;
– Acknowledge the different injury mechanisms;
– Identify injuries or any sign and symptom of injury and apply appropriate treatment.
