Mental Health Matters: Progress Report on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Activities with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (October 2023)

The progress report provides an overview of the mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) activities implemented or planned to be implemented across the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement. The data is collected through a Movement-wide MHPSS survey that has been conducted as a follow up-survey to two global surveys conducted in 2019 and 2021. The 2019 survey provided a baseline dataset on mental health and/or psychosocial support activities carried out by the components of the Movement – National Societies (NS), the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). A total of 163 NS, the IFRC and the ICRC participated. This report presents the 2023 data in relation to the 2021 and 2019 datasets to compare the advancements of MH and/or PSS in the Movement.
