Hostile Environment Awareness Training Poland

Since June 2022, we are running a successful HEAT programme near Rzeszów, Poland. In that time, we trained over 200 staff members of 15 different humanitarian organizations here. The Poland’s HEAT programme is designed with a special focus on the Ukraine context.

The focus is on creating an awareness of how to respond to scenarios you are likely to encounter while working in a hostile or hazardous environment, notably Ukraine. The HEAT has a significant “field component,” which we spread over three- or four days (depending upon organizational requirements). Participants will be able to practice the skills taught during the theoretical part of the training. Therefore, the course is interactive and requires a participatory approach. We combine theory with group work, audio-visual methods, exercises, and simulations.
