| Description | Panel discussion on ‘Healthcare systems / workers in Ukraine and Syria’. This event will see updates from and comparisons between the humanitarian situations in Syria and Ukraine, with a focus on attacks on and the responses of healthcare systems and workers. Speakers:Christina Wille (Director of Insecurity Insight) will discuss data collected from Ukraine, as part of HCRI’s Researching the Impact of Attacks on Healthcare (RIAH) project. https://riah.manchester.ac.uk/ Dr Abdulkarim Ekzayez (Senior Research Associate, KCL) is a medical doctor and epidemiologist, whose work at KCL focuses on health systems strengthening in conflict settings, including Northern Syria. https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/abdulkarim-ekzayez Sophie Désoulières (Head of Advocacy and Operational Communications at MSF) will discuss MSF’s work in conflict zones and brief us on her recent visit to Ukraine.
