Description | Job Summary: Provides technical leadership to project teams to ensure FHI 360’s minimum standards for safeguarding program participants are well integrated. The person in this position will have strong knowledge and background in safeguarding-related programming in international development. Provides technical advice based upon expertise and knowledge of international standards, donor requirements, and FHI 360 safeguarding policies and procedures. Builds capacity in country, regional or global program staff. Provides guidance to ensure that program implementation adheres to appropriate technical standards and guidelines and that programs are technically sound. May contribute to proposal design and protocol development to ensure safeguarding best practices and requirements are included in the design. Provides leadership by staying current of evolving technical standards, guidelines, and program developments in area of safeguarding. Responsible for sharing best practices related to safeguarding and contribute to the knowledge base through participation in forums and technical networks. Shares new knowledge/evidence and best practices through collaboration with relevant departments and personnel. May be required to coordinate and work with a diverse group of organizations, such as: the Ministry staff, international and national partner organizations, and the USAID missions and other funders in order to complete work.
