The latest module of our Keeping up with Covid-19: Essential Guidance for NGO Security Risk Managers is now available!

GISF is pleased to announce the addition of a new module, ‘Preparing for the “new normal”’, to its series ‘Keeping up with COVID-19: Essential guidance for NGO security risk managers’. This new module develops the GISF series, building on the document ‘Recovery and Wellness COVID-19: Operational considerations for US based international NGOs’.

As the pandemic continues to impact not only the security risks that NGOs may face but also the way risk treatments are developed, implemented and communicated to staff, this GISF essential guidance provides a comprehensive series covering all aspects of security risk management.

This new module aims to provide insight into how to prepare your organisation for the coming period of uncertainty ahead, explores why preparing for “the new normal” is important, and summarises good practice examples, and useful resources. Options are also outlined to help organisations plan for the future in a way that is as inclusive as possible.

The module has been developed by Elizabeth Detwiler, based on a series of interviews conducted with a range of INGO staff.
