2. Saving Lives Together (SLT)

In addition to NGO-led or NGO-focused security collaboration mechanisms, there are also initiatives to strengthen UN-INGO security cooperation in the field. 

[toolbox-standout-box]The SLT Framework provides the structure and guidance within which UN, INGOs, and IOs can cooperate and support each other to implement effective security arrangements in the field to enable the safe delivery of assistance.[/toolbox-standout-box]

Saving Lives Together (SLT) is a partnership initiative where organisations commit to improving coordination, sharing critical security and safety information, cooperating on operational and logistics arrangements, and facilitating access to training. However, SLT is a voluntary engagement and operational decisions always remain the responsibility of the respective organisations.
